Learn moreSwing gate motors are used to automate this type of open-out gate.
If you have decided to automate your swing gates, then you have made a decision that will save you time and effort on a daily basis, but what do you need to know before installing the motor?
How to choose motors for swing gates
The motor should be chosen according to the width of the gate, since, although the weight is supported on the hinges, the surface can be much larger and the force of the wind forces the motor to exert much more pressure, both in closing and opening.
The dimensions to be respected for each swing gate will be indicated in each automatic opener model. These dimensions should be used to install the motor’s rear anchor in terms of the side and the centre of the hinge, which vary depending on the space in the opening range.
As for the front anchor, it is only necessary to take into account the path the gate will take when closing, maintaining a slightly larger space to ensure a perfect system.
Motors for residential swing gates
Swing gate motors are one of the most widely used solutions in the residential sector thanks to the small space required for installation. In this regard, two-leaf gates are particularly worthy of note, since they require the least space for installation.
At ERREKA, all our gates stand out for their design, precision, speed and quietness. This is thanks to the wide range of references we work with, in accordance with each user’s space and requirements.
Motors for industrial swing gates
Swing gates are used in industrial exteriors with large spaces where they can be operated efficiently. They are also used as enclosures in residential communities.
The motor should be chosen based on gate length, taking into account exposure to the wind and expected traffic.
